This was an art contest put on by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
In honor of the 125th anniversary of Sherlock Holmes, artists had to depict a mystery appropriate for a kid audience.
The illustrations above were called, The case of the missing cake.
The pieces were created with pen and watercolor pencil.
